Ferrari 250 GT Tribute – Kalifornia 250 GT

Presented here is a stunning Ferrari 250 GT tribute, lovingly crafted as the Kalifornia 250 GT, commissioned and professionally built by Nubodi Automotive. This exceptional vehicle is based on a 1999 BMW Z3 2.8, and it is not a kit car. The original Z3 has been enhanced with meticulously designed bolt-on body panels and precision fabrication, resulting in a truly unique creation. The car is fully registered with the DVLA as a Kalifornia 250 GT. Includes 250 GT number plates

Key Highlights:

Extensive Documentation
: Over £22,000 in receipts and paperwork from the build, including MOTs, service history, and receipts from BMW main dealers and specialists.

Impeccable Build Quality: The car has been constructed with no expense spared, featuring a period-correct Ferrari Grigio Mahmoud grey finish. The interior is adorned in luxurious oxblood red leather, complemented by a brand-new red soft top.

Chrome Wire Wheels: A set of new chrome wire wheels with spinners add an extra touch of classic elegance.

Smooth and Responsive Drive: The 6-cylinder engine delivers a thrilling driving experience, with strong performance and smooth power delivery. The gearbox is equally refined, providing an enjoyable driving experience.

Low Mileage: With just 105,650 miles on the clock, the car has been well maintained, with the last service carried out under 2,000 miles ago. All electric components, including windows and hood, are in perfect working order.

Timeless Appeal: This tribute combines the iconic design of a classic Ferrari with the modern reliability and drivability of a BMW, offering a unique blend of performance and style.

This Kalifornia 250 GT tribute turns heads and garners admiration wherever it goes, a true testament to its craftsmanship and character. The car is ready for immediate enjoyment, just in time for the summer season.

The only reason for sale is the need to make space for other ongoing projects.

Will post here first for £17,999

Good price TBH considering the money that has been spent. Panel gaps and shut lines look pretty good from the photos.
Personally I don't think you have a cat-in-hell's chance of selling it on here, but you never know.

Agreed. It looks a good price for the amount of work that's gone in to it.

Would anyone buy it? If I wanted a kalifornia and didn't want the hassle of spannering the panels off a donor and the on, off, on, off (and repeat) fitting ill-fitting GRP panels for hours, nay days, then the flatting and sanding and fiddling with panel gaps and painting then, personally, I reckon that £18K gets you comfortably over all that pain and regret and into a place where there's still a ton (or more) of work to do but more fun.

So yes. if I was the guy in the previous paragraph, I'd snap it up at that price - But I'm not him so I wouldn't. Because I'm not doing a rebody so that I can show it off or be seen in it. I'm doing mine because I just enjoy the build - which is why it's taking so long.

Don't get me wrong; many model specific forums are a great place to flog cars (I have sold a few on forums), but this is pre-dominantly a Z3 'fan boy' forum. Many think the idea of 'ruining' a Z3 is sacrilege. Obviously I am not in that camp!

But it can't hurt.
