Introduce a 50% VED reduction for cars aged 20–39. High taxes force functional vehicles to be scrapped, creating a "disposable" culture. Absolutely pointless, as with all these 'public petitions'.
IF they get 500,000 signatures it has to be read in parliament. So they 'read' them at 11pm to a house that is empty then throw them away. I have never heard of one that has come to a vote, let alone been implemented.
There is not a cat-in-hell's chance that the UK Government are going to reduce any taxes anywhere at present.

My sentiments entirely but to quote my wife - "it's not very often you're right but you're wrong again".

Really? That someone from the other side of the world is signing a petition to reduce car tax in the UK?
These 'facebook' petitions are never going to be taken seriously by any politicians (rightly so IMO).

Politicians don't regard people as 'people'...just 'voters'. Unless they want your vote, or their job is at risk, they couldn't give two shites about the public.
